Calvin and Hobbes Kicks - Custom Nike Blazers by Jacob Patterson
Custom shoe designer Jacob Patterson has released his latest work - a tribute to the comic that inspired him to pick up a pencil. Featuring two fan fiction comics written and illustrated by Patterson himself, the shoes make a go at accomplishing the impossible combination of innocent wit, childhood wonder, and impeccable illustration that put Bill Watterson’s classic work amongst the most loved in comic history.
The fan fiction that Patterson wrote make a go at this storytelling style, and can be found on ASCK’s blog here and here for free.
The final frames of these web comics are being sold as large prints, and can be purchased by contacting Patterson at his site here with the title “Calvin and Hobbes Print.”
Both the Spaceman Spiff and Michael Jordan imaginative prints are for sale for $28 with the accompanying comic strip included in a smaller print for free (to hang alongside, on your playroom wall).
