BURTON SNOW PORN - BRALORNE ULTRA STEEPS

When was the last time you saw a U.S. Open-winning snowboarder shredding down one of North America’s most dangerous mountains with reckless abandon? Now matter what your answer was, it isn’t recently enough. The latest video in a series from snowboarding brand Burton called “Snow Porn” hits the Bralorne Ultra Steeps. Stephan Maurer and Kazu Kokubo hit British Columbia for some of the best snowboarding a helicopter ride can deliver, and the results couldn’t be more gnarly.

STAR WARS 35-YEAR ANNIVERSARY PURE GOLD C-3PO AND STERLING SILVER R2-D2

With the relaunch of Star Wars into the hearts of an entirely new generation of inevitably inspired individuals through the series’ rerelease in 3D, great products are sure to hit the market and collectors’ hands. While my Ewok shoes may have been unique, they don’t quite stack up in shock value to the new 35-year Anniversary Sterling Silver R2-D2 and Pure Gold C-3PO collectibles.

In reference to the anniversary, each statue is 35 grams of precious metal, and comes in a collectible glass display case. Both models are also limited to 35 units a piece, and you can be sure they will sell out quickly, even at the $6,051 asking price.

Check out some of the other cool stuff Star Wars is doing to give fans that enjoyable feeling of nostalgia.

VANS EUROPE: THE COBRASNAKE X COLETTE X VANS VAULT ERA VIDEO

Remember the Cobrasnake collaboration with colette and Vans that had everyone talking? Mark Hunter of Cobrasnake sits down for a short recap video about the project, taking a humorous commentary on burgers and how he can no longer eat them due to a vegetarian diet, and how that inspired a shoe design that people love. The invite-only release event served hamburgers during Fashion Week in Paris at La Maison Mere, but if you missed it you can get a small sample of the fun here.

5BORO NYC X CARHARTT WIP “NEW YORK CITY TO DETROIT” SKATE VIDEO

ASCK hasn’t posted a skate video in a while, and while there may not be as many insane runs as previous posts, the visuals in this video are bar-none. Featured as a collaboration between Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) and 5boro NYC, some dope skaters hit the streets of New York and Detroit with flair. The video shows the character of the two cities, and what that can mean to a group of people who appreciates such things.

NIKE SB DUNK HI “GUINNESS”
St. Patrick’s Day sees many sneaker releases with its traditional preference toward the color green, but Nike SB has gone in a slightly different direction for their holiday release in 2012. Certainly the most famous Irish beer, the Guinness Stout serves up a beautiful black leather upper with Light British Tan accents on the textured Swoosh, label, and outsole for its sneaker form.
With white laces and midsole for contrast, the shoes are available now anywhere Nike SB’s are sold for a reasonable $90 USD.

NBA Christmas Day was an exciting day for a lot of us, especially those spotting new kicks on the hardwood.

Aside from the overabundance of neon green all over the court I noticed how much I am really digging the Nike Zoom Hyperdunk flood we’re seeing in the NBA. It’s one of my favorite newer models of athletic sneakers.

The more I look at Kobe’s new kicks in their various colorways, I also dig them more and more. That pattern is just ill…

The LeBron 9 “Christmas” colorway was probably my favorite Christmas Day pair, though.

I also must say that despite my love for Derrick Rose and his nearly single-handed resurrection of my favorite sports franchise, I’m not yet the biggest fan of his “Windy City” adizeroes. The idea of making shoes after a subway system is a cool one, but many of my customizer friends have done this is much more compelling ways, so I guess I’m just biased.

Not Pictured: Golden State seems to always get no love, but Dominic McGuire was rocking the Concord 11s. And if you want to win your own pair of Concords, you can do so here.

PS - What is Alicia Keys rocking in that first frame with Swizz Beats??
