NIKE AIR FORCE 180 “THE ADMIRAL” CUSTOM BY REVIVE CUSTOMS

Sometimes a custom job serves no better purpose than to repurpose an OG sneaker that has lost its luster, but sometimes a beaten-up base can serve as the inspiration for something beautiful. Perhaps drawing courage from the fact that the sneakers were all but destroyed to start, long-time sneaker customizer Revive Customs took an old pair of Nike Air Force 180 highs and transferred a theme reminiscent of the Air Jordan VI “Olympic” sneakers with inspiration from teammate David “The Admiral” Robinson. The shoes come out looking like they should be sold in a pack with the AJ6, and in photographs looks almost brand new. Restoration jobs don’t come better than this.

NIKE AIR FORCE 180 HIGH - RETURN IN 2012
A coveted model in sneaker culture, the Nike Air Force 180 High has been only a piece in the memories and record books of fans. Another Charles Barkley/Suns-inspired model will come in a black and purple colorway. Expect the shoes to drop sometime this year.

NIKE AIR FORCE 1 X FOAMPOSITE GALAXY PREVIEW
With the Nike Air Foamposite “Galaxy” release becoming a national news story due to riots, entire malls being shut down, pairs going for over $70k, and products being pulled from stores, you can’t get more hype than the current “Galaxy” phenomenon. Customizers have picked up on the craze, as well, but surely no one is wiser when it comes to stirring up fans into a cash crop than Nike themselves.
It seems that the Nike “XXX” 30th anniversary celebrations are going to hit much harder than originally anticipated with Nike’s relatively quiet release schedule up until now, as a preview of two pairs of Uptowns with a Foamposite treatment has turned up on the net. With two sources of hype as powerful as these, the shoes should definitely draw crowds. Keep an eye out for further information.
