When info was released that four more Foamposites were set to release this year, speculations of the colorway began. It looks like we have our first preview of what to expect, and it fits in line with what Nike has been doing leading up to the Summer Olympic Games, which gives some weight to the argument that the leaked image is real. The Nike Air Foamposite One “Gold Medal” takes the obvious source of inspiration and places a metallic gold upper above a clear outsole.

With the London Olympic Games right around the corner, sneaker releases have been recognizing an affinity for the sporting tournament. Jordan Brand takes a couple notes from the history of the sneaker company’s founder with their “Gold Medal” pack which is set to release on August 18th of this year. MJ dominated his time in the Olympic games, and the Jordan VI and VII sneakers that release in this pack pay homage to this dominance through gold details across a otherwise white and black designs, respectively. The pack itself will be available for $350 come August.
