ADIDAS ORIGINALS BY JEREMY SCOTT JS WINGS “TOTEM” With another out of this world pair of sneakers, designer Jeremy Scott may have completely topped himself with his “Totem” JS Wings. Loosely tied into a Native American iconography, his loudest pair for the Spring/Summer 2013 pair looks toward a totem pole for inspiration, and explores a wide variety of colors in its makeup. The adidas Originals Attitude high-top shoe sits on a black EVA midsole with a ton of Native tribal design work with a mock warrior face on the tongue. JEREMY SCOTT X ADIDAS ROUNDHOUSE MID “HANDCUFFS”

Another release date for Jeremy Scott’s upcoming Fall line with adidas demands just as much attention. The Roundhouse Mid “Handcuff” sneaker by the famed designer comes in tow with a a chain and ankle strap mocking the look of an orange pair of handcuffs. Purple suede and reflective straps sit over the upper which plays off with some orange details, and all but justify the hefty $350 price point. The shoes come out on August 12th at select adidas Originals retailers.

JEREMY SCOTT X ADIDAS WINGS 2.0 “SILVER MESH”

Jeremy Scott fans just got a slew of release dates for his upcoming Fall line with adidas. One of the most anticipated pairs, his reinvention of the adidas Wings 2.0, was slated with a $220 price point in their new “Silver Mesh” makeup. Two layers of mesh lay over the upper which also boasts removable zipper covers over the laces and shiny synthetic details wrap around the toe. Select Originals accounts will carry the shoe come October 12th.

A$AP ROCKY - “GOLDIE” VIDEO (NSFW)

A$AP Rocky has moved from a place of name-dropping to a place of ironic name-dropping, hushing some critics while confusing some others. The artist is still planning to show off some flashy things - rocking everything from Jeremy Scott to Ace of Spades in his new video - but now when Pretty Flacko name-drops Cristal it’s because he is saying that drinking 40s taste better to get a rise out of rich folks.

The Rocky-styled and directed music video sees the rapper and his crewmate A$AP Yams driving an antique luxury car around Paris beneath the Eiffel Tower and Arc De Triomphe. It also sees quite a bit of a naked model.

“Basically the concept of the video is to be more flamboyant and just to showcase a lot of flashy luxury—old foreign cars and fashion models,” said Pretty Flacko, who directed and styled the video. “I need you to know this is all my idea. I’m the flyest motherfu**er you know.”

Jeremy Scott may seem outrageous and eccentric at all times if you were to just look at his exciting shoe designs and startling high fashion, but in this interview with CNN, you can see that the designer is simply another guy eternally grateful to have been put in the situation he has to spread his philosophies around the world through his art. The artist speaks on his recent acceptance into street sneaker culture and how that differs from seeing his work on the carefully sculpted bodies of his celebrity friends, and even tells the story of a girl he met who traveled from across the United States to meet him at his recent LA meet-and-greet. There will also be music by Kesh and a champagne bar, so make it through early to get your drinks and a chance to meet Jeremy between 6 and 8pm. 15TH ANNIVERSARY CARNIVAL BY COLETTE The brand is turning 15 this year, and to celebrate, the hip Paris boutique Colette is organizing a large carnival for the weekend of March 10-11, to be held in a tent located in Paris’ Jardin des Tuileries. With 50 brands like Lacoste, Hudson, and Kenzo participating, it should be a fruitful weekend for any Parisians lucky enough to be present. Repetto, Nike and Disney will hold dance and music classes for kids; Fred Perry will install ping-pong tables, and Nike will create a basketball court for the event. Also in celebration of the anniversary, on Feb. 29 an art exhibition by New York-based Australian artist Craig Redman will be held by colette. The show will feature”Darcelized” of figures like of Coco Chanel, Emmanuelle Alt, Bill Cunningham and Jeremy Scott done in his classic character’s style.
