LEBRON X “CUTTING JADE”

The LeBron X is on its way, and the newest colorway to be detailed is rumored to be a China-exclusive. With Chinese history certainly ingrained in its makeup, the Cutting Jade colorway for the LeBron X is the most unique we have seen yet. The gem shade envelops the upper, while black and red details run across the laces, midsole, and branding. Expect details on the release shortly.

LEBRON JAMES DEBUTS LEBRON X

While we already knew what the LeBron X looks like, the shoe had not yet been officially debuted until Sunday, when the reigning MVP marched onto the court for what would mark his second gold medal wearing a U.S. flag-themed version of the sneaker. No news yet as to whether this will be the model we see hit stores when the shoes drop, but we can certainly count on this being one of the more coveted to start. The Zoom Max cushioning and Hyperfuse construction will make for Olympian performance, as well. More info on the LeBron X here as it arises.

CUSTOM SNEAKER DESIGN WORKSHOP BY TYLER WAY

Custom sneaker designer and aspiring businessman Tyler Way is hosting a custom sneaker workshop in Grand Rapids, MI this month, and tickets are far cheaper than you would expect. In the cheapest workshop I’ve ever seen, participants can expect to learn the long and arduous process behind painting on shoes in a functional manner for only $50. The artist has presented works to such superstars as Chris Paul, Rip Hamilton, and LeBron James at his NBA MVP Award ceremony. The course is on May 19th, and you can register here.

NIKE LEBRON 9 P.S. ELITE “SOUTH BEACH”
While it may feel like it was years ago, the “South Beach” craze is one not too far in the past. “Galaxy,” “NERF,” and other colorways may have stolen spotlights of late, but customizers and overall sneaker fanatics in general can still appreciate a hot shoe in a hyped color scheme when they see it. The LeBron 8 may have released first close to home, but the Nike LeBron 9 P.S. Elite “South Beach” has another path. Retailers like Titolo have already begun stocking the shoe, which should see a release stateside on June 2nd.

NIKE LEBRON 9 “BIG BANG”

I’m a Leo and a fan of bright colorways, so this 2012 release of the LeBron 9 has me stoked. Featuring a bright orange upper with a glow-in-the-dark outsole and custom outer space lining, as well as a Leo installation on the tongue tag with a gray swoosh, these new LeBrons may force me into buying a few new outfits to match their outrageous colors.

Look for the “Big Bang” LeBrons sometime early this year.
