ADULT SWIM X STORM X MITCHELL & NESS LOITER SQUAD SNAPBACK

For a group of kids who asked Cartoon Network if they could make a TV show years ago to a group of kids that now run one of the most-watched programs on Adult Swim, Loiter Squad has done well rounding the corner into its second season on the air. Danish retailer Storm has teamed up with Odd Future and streetwear trendsetters Mitchell & Ness for an exclusive capsule collection, which is already available at the Roskilde Music Festival in Denmark. A run of collaborative shirts will also be available at Storm soon.

ODD FUTURE - SAM (IS DEAD) VIDEO

In the latest video from the Odd Future camp, Tyler, the Creator directs a self-inflicted massacre in a style that varies greatly from what he has done in the past. With a war movie feel, Domo Genesis and Wolf Haley spit over a dark beat as the entire Odd Future cast flees an unknown enemy in the jungle while “Sam (Is Dead)” from OF Mixtape Vol. 2 plays in the background of this short film.

ODD FUTURE AT MILK STUDIOS BY TERRY RICHARDSON

OFWGKTA’s much-hyped music video for “Oldie,” which also marked the anticipated return of Earl Sweatshirt to the group, was shot in the studio with portrait-photographer-extraordinaire-to-the-stars Terry Richardson. The entire music video was pretty much just a bunch of kids messing around in the studio of one of the most influential photographers out while the track played in the background. Richardson uploaded a boatload of photos from the shoot today, which you can see on his Tumblr blog. Also, you should probably follow him if you want to know what’s going on in contemporary photography or with Kate Upton’s dance career

INTERVIEW: TYLER, THE CREATOR WITH OYSTER MAGAZINE “I HATE TUMBLR.”
Tyler, The Creator is a challenge that every interviewer in hip hop must attempt at one point or another, and Alexi Wasser from Oyster Magazine finds more success than most in this sit-down with the 21-year old rapper and entrepreneur behind the massively successful Odd Future. From music to drugs and Tyler’s refusal to take part in them, the interview spans a variety of topics and the hype hop star shines in one of his most transparent interviews to date. Check out a small sample from the interview below and the entire conversation here.

Do you meet girls on Twitter and Facebook? No, I don’t read my mentions on Twitter. I have Facebook, but it’s private, so only my friends can see anything I post. I hate Tumblr.
Why? Being in Europe for two months with a broken foot, and being on a tour bus with people who just smoke weed and sit on Tumblr all day and don’t go outside and do anything. It just made me hate that shit. I don’t have one.

NOISEY SPECIALS #8: THE ODD FUTURE POP UP SHOP IN NYC VIDEO

In case you haven’t noticed, the small crew behind ASCK is full of Odd Future fans. Luckily for us, so are a whole bunch of other people, so there is a consistent stream of new content to enjoy as time goes on.

Noisey, a web series from Vice Magazine, has put out their eighth episode which finds the crew in Manhattan’s Lower East Side observing the Odd Future pop-up shop at Reed Space. Kitties cover a pink button-up that Tyler, The Creator wears and mocks at the same time, calling it “ugly,” “tacky,” and “stupid as fuck,” but his refusal to admit that he is feeding the hype machine is what fuels it, so his success is no surprise. New shirts and clothing abound as members of OF make cameos and give entertaining anecdotes about their newfound fame.

INTERVIEW: EARL SWEATSHIRT RETURNS TO HIP HOP WITH PETER ROSENBERG

Speaking of hating on OF, check out this interview with Earl Sweatshirt on his return to the rap game from a hiatus at a Samoan boarding school. Earl talks about his time away during the “free Earl” campaign as bringing some perspective into his life and claims that he is happy it happened.

You can also see some of the high school-boy camaraderie between members of the group as they mock each other for various reasons - including a comment from Earl that Taco is the “Meg [Griffin?]” of the group. Peter Rosenberg draws a great 11 minutes out of the kids.

ODD FUTURE SUPERTRACK “OLDIE” GETS MUSIC VIDEO

After seeing a music video like this, how could you hate on Odd Future? These are a bunch of kids doing exactly what they want with their lives and getting paid a boatload of money to do it.

They may get a lot of hate, but when they pull together Frank Ocean, Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, and even hypeman Jasper for a photoshoot/music video, you see just how much fun these guys (and Syd “tha Dude”) are having together. Also, how did Tyler and Left Brain both break their arms?

PS - Earl might be joining OF for their show in New York tonight…

After returning from a boarding school in Samoa, fan-favorite Earl Sweatshirt returned to Odd Future in their biggest year yet. With a posse track that features the entirety of OF inculding Tyler, The Creator, Hodgy Beats, Domo Genesis, Jasper, Taco, and more, Earl comes in at 7:03 and kills it. You don’t have to listen for long to know that he deserves all of the respect and hype he has attracted. You can buy the OF Tape: Vol. 2 album here  tomorrow.

PS - Loiter Squad starts this Sunday.

ODD FUTURE - “NY (NED FLANDER)” MUSIC VIDEO FROM OF TAPE VOL. 2

OF Tape Vol. 2 can’t drop soon enough, and Odd Future has put out a video for the track “NY (Ned Flander)” off of the mixtape, featuring Tyler, the Creator as a crazy baby and Hodgy Beats as a fat, mustached old man with a need for lots of medicine. The video is a sequel to “Rella” and though much darker, still features a host of funny scenes beneath some great lyricism. Wolf Haley directs the second of two videos in the three part series, building hype for the release of the tape on March 20th.

LOITER SQUAD: ODD FUTURE ADULT SWIM TV SHOW PREVIEW

In the fourth preview for Odd Future’s new Adult Swim TV show, Loiter Squad, the crew laughs hysterically at one another while expressing their love for cheese. With Jasper leaping through a large pizza and Tyler choking on food, the show promises to be an interesting watch, assuming the nacho cheese in your eyes isn’t jalapeno kind come March 25th at 11:30pm.
