KEVIN KIRKPATRICK X JUXTAPOZ X ADULT SWIM

Remember those incredible Beavis and Butthead busts that took the internet by storm a short while ago? Well the artist, Kevin Kirkpatrick, has teamed up with Juxtapoz to bring to life another animated adult cartoon with this bust of Carl Brutananadilewski from Aqua Teen Hunger Force that’s equally amazing. The sculpture is one of the first pieces of content released from the upcoming collaboration between Juxtapoz and Adult Swim for their July 2012 issue, which you can pick up now at Juxtapoz’ site, where you can also see more images of the sculpture’s creation process.

ROLLERBLADE ATL SESSIONS BY LONNIE FRANCISCO

Blader and badass Lonnie Francisco is one of the better editor/directors that you have seen producing videos online. His latest blading video sees him and his riley bunch of friends shredding the streets of Atlanta, GA. Made possible by Rollerblade, the video by Think Tanker Lonnie Francisco displays what style can look like on four wheels.

BUCK PRODUCTION - GOODBOOKS: METAMPORPHOSIS ANIMATION

Buck is a “design-driven production company,” and one that creates absolutely beautiful works of art in the form of short films. ThinkTank Collective member Iain Acton now works with the design company, which finished this drug-trip-graphic-tirade in tribute to the late, great Hunter S. Thompson. The film is absolutely breath-taking and proves that what is capable through the medium of animation is nothing short of amazing. Not only that, but it is all for a good cause. Here is what Buck has to say:

It is not very often that we have the opportunity to create a graphic equivalent of a drug fueled rant bringing all of our collective skills to bear. And it is almost unfathomable that we could actually do something like this and benefit a good cause.

KIRAN DRUMMING ON THE FLOOR.MOV

After the opening of REPRESENT: A GROUP EXHIBITION (recap coming soon) we had a drum circle in our diner that is currently under construction for film shoots. Our friend Kiran gets down.

Sorry there were no posts today.

Every couple months this may happen as we enter crunch time to get exhibitions ready for opening at the gallery I manage.

The event was a success, though! Recap video coming soon.
